History of the Issue

My ZIP contacted Kroger Corporate on April 3, 2017, to place a complaint and was issued complaint no. 30739606. A follow-up call was made on April 17, 2019, after the monthly April 9th meeting came and left with no response received from Kroger. The April 17th call was met with a response stating the call had been acknowledged by management and that no further communication regarding it was forthcoming since that was not policy of or for Kroger management. On July 5, 2019, additional outreach was restarted with and through several local Kroger Division managers. These managers eventually identified Teresa Dickerson as being the only person who was authorized to speak to the community regarding its complaints of bad management and filty store conditions both inside and outside. The news media gathered for the event and Dickerson quietly showed up half way through the hour and a half long session. Once discovered, she was allowed to take the podium to share the Kroger side of the story; however, nothing Dickerson addressed actually responded directly to the complaints being made. The meeting concluded with the community requesting to be allowed to form a joint Kroger-Whitehaven action committee group to help Kroger to improve the overall quality and management of its Whitehaven location.
