Memphis City Council Meeting August 18 2020

 A unanimous 13 against-0 for vote to disallow a light manufacturing facility to be built in the center of a well-established neighborhood in the Whitehaven community of Memphis, TN.

Beverly Robertson (for) vs. Yvonne D. Nelson (against)-Rd 2

 So, Dr. Yvonne D. Nelson was invited to speak at a Bluebird Park Estates NA meeting at 10 AM on Saturday, August 8th, 30 minutes prior to her regularly scheduled weekly Saturday McCorkle Road/Whitehaven CDC meeting to discuss why a factory should NOT be placed in the front yards of her neighbors homes - homes that they have worked hard to pay for which would be forever destroyed with the building of a two-story, 146,000 sq. ft. light manufacturing facility ...

Take Your Knee Off My Whitehaven Neighborhood in Memphis

How can you help? Patrice.Robinson@memphistn.gov

· Why was the neighborhood meeting not required?

· Rejected, but the Mayor-elected board members approved it!

· Zoned residential not for a factory, so why destroy this community?

· No vocational component in place;

· Write City Council – It’s this neighborhood today, but it could be yours tomorrow.
